Everest Khumbu Region Trekking

Everest Khumbu Region Trekking and the mount Everest 8848m was explored by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa in 1953. Jiri to Everest Base Camp trek starts from Kathmandu to Jiri to Bhandara by local bus following the path of the medieval trans-Himalaya trade route. It is first footstep of the majesty Everest climbing. There is flight from Kathmandu to Lukla about 35 minutes and trek continues to Phakding. Phakding is contact point to both trek from Lukla and from Jiri. Trek proceeds to Namche Bazar. This is the main market place of this region. There are Tengboche and Pangboche monasteries where local people celebrate the festivals Mani Rimdu and Dumje . These routes pass through picturesque villages and forests. Sagarmatha National Park is always ready for the flora and fauna to the explorers. Stunning views can be observed from Kalapathar and Gokyo Ri.
