Chulu East and West Peak Climbing

Chulu East and West Peak Climbing-Chulu East 6584m And Chulu West 6419m. peaks lie in Manang district in Manang Himal and Damodar Himal. There exists considerable confusion with regard to the name and location of the Chulu peaks and what summit actually constitutes Chulu West and Chulu East, since it is soon becomes apparent to anyone that has climbed in the range that several other summits close by, which are actually part of the Chulu massif, are not indicated on present maps of the area.

For the sake of clarification, four summits can be included in the Chulu group, two of which are possible on the permit for Chulu West and two on the Chulu East permit. What is apparent is that the available trekking map is highly misleading. Climbing the Chulu East/West Peak requires a good physical condition and a high degree of stamina.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival and reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Night in hotel.
Day 02: Sight Seeing Kathmandu Durbar square, Swayambhunath and Patan . Night in hotel.
Day 03: Departure from Kathmandu in the morning to Bulbule by bus. Night in lodge.
Day 04: Bulbule to Chame 2650m 6hr by 4 x4 jeep.
Day 05: Chame to Pisang 3185m 5 hr.
Day 06: Pisang to Manang Village-3700m (6 hr).
Day 07: Manang rest day.
Day 08: Manang rest day and acclimitation.
Day 09: Trek to Base camp.
Day 10: Rest day at Base camp.
Day 11: High camp set up.
Day 12: Summit and descend to base camp.
Day 13: Trek to Thorong Phedi-4500m (4-5 hr).
Day 14: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath-3798m crossing over the Thorong-La Pass-3416m. The day waking up early in the morning around 3-4 o'clock according to guide's instruction. This is because of the wind over the pass.
Day 15: Muktinath to Jomsom.
Day 16: Jomsom to Pokhara by plane, night in hotel.
Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu by road transportation (flight from Pokhara an additional ), night in hotel.
Day 18: Transfer to Airport in advance of 2 ½ hours of your flight.
